Web design Bristol · for independents

Web design in Bristol – for businesses that do things their own way.

Bristol takes pride in its independents, and its customers tend to notice when something is made with care. We build custom, hand-coded websites for cafés, makers, studios and small firms across the city, without templates or a site-builder subscription. One fixed price in pounds, working remotely from Frankfurt.

Get found locally

Independent high streets and a strong creative scene.

Gloucester Road is well known for its long run of independent shops, and North Street in Bedminster, Cotham Hill and Clifton Village each have their own mix of cafés, delis, boutiques and practices. Bristol people often go out of their way to support local businesses, but they still need to find you first – usually on a phone, with the street or area in the search, or by browsing Google Maps before heading out.

The city is also known for its creative and media side, from animation and film to design, music and street art around Stokes Croft. Many freelancers and small studios here need a portfolio that looks the part without being overdesigned. Add a large student population and visitors to the Harbourside and Clifton, and you have a steady flow of people looking for food, fitness, repairs and services who decide within seconds whether a website feels trustworthy.

FAQs

Questions from Bristol businesses

You're not in Bristol. Does that matter?

It doesn't need to. We work fully remotely from Frankfurt, by video call, phone, email and WhatsApp, and you deal with one person throughout. We won't pretend to have a local office, and we don't offer in-person meetings.

Why hand-coded rather than a site builder?

Hand-coded sites load faster, need no plugins or updates, and don't tie you to a monthly platform fee. Hosting is included; you only pay for your domain, about £10–15 a year.

Can I post news or events myself?

Yes. A simple blog or news section you can update yourself is available as an add-on (£349). Otherwise just email us and we'll post it for you.

What does a small business website cost in Bristol?

Starter is £790, Standard £1,190 and Premium £2,290. All fixed prices, agreed before we begin.
