Web design Manchester · for independent businesses

Web design in Manchester – straightforward websites that get you enquiries.

Manchester has a strong independent streak, from the Northern Quarter to the high streets of south Manchester. We build custom websites for the cafés, bars, salons, trades and small firms that give the city its character: clear, quick and set up to be found on Google, at one fixed price and working remotely from Frankfurt.

Get found locally

A city of independents – and busy, local searches.

The Northern Quarter and Ancoats are known for independent coffee shops, bars, record shops and restaurants, and further south Chorlton, Didsbury and Levenshulme each have their own high streets with loyal regulars. Add two large universities and a big student population around Oxford Road and Fallowfield, and you get a lot of people searching on their phones for somewhere to eat, get a haircut or find a room – usually with the area name in the search.

Manchester also has a growing creative, digital and media scene, with MediaCity in neighbouring Salford and plenty of freelancers and small agencies in the city centre. Many of them need a simple, credible site rather than a big platform. And across Greater Manchester, tradespeople cover wide areas from Stockport to Salford. For them, a website with a page per service and clear coverage areas usually brings in more useful enquiries than a directory listing.

FAQs

Questions from Manchester businesses

Do you have an office in Manchester?

No. We're a one-person studio in Frankfurt and work fully remotely, by video call, phone, email and WhatsApp. You deal with the same person throughout, and we're only an hour ahead of UK time.

I'm a sole trader. Is a one-page site enough?

Often it is. Starter gives you a professional one-page site for £790. If the business grows, we can add pages later (£119 each) instead of starting again.

Can I update the menu or prices myself?

Easiest is to email or WhatsApp us the changes and we'll make them. They're included in care plans from £49 a month, otherwise charged at £79 per hour. A blog or news section you can edit yourself is available as an add-on (£349).

How much does a small business website cost in Manchester?

Starter is £790, Standard £1,190 and Premium £2,290. Hosting is included; you only pay for your domain, about £10–15 a year for a .co.uk.
